Global day of Action, Bali Collaboration on Climate Change act with Orphanage Children

Me and Herni were cofused about what we will do in October 24, as whole of committee in Bali Collaboration on Climate Change (BCCC) were busied on working in workshop on climate change. Beside that reason, on October 24 is  one of a big celebration Hinduism Day, called Kuningan, and most of our youths member busy in celebrating that day. World Silent Day Movement Will Bring the World to 350 ppm

350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in “Parts Per Million” in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it’s the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change. As those reason, one of our effort is joined with youths from whole Asia on Asian Youth Climate Workshop 2009, 3-5 Oktober 2009 in  Bangkok. Asia Pacific Youths in Different Faiths Unite on Climate Change Action

Youth is the last hope to save the earth from impacts of climate change. With high passion and courage to face the challenges, make youths as a brightest hope to protect this earth. But not enough  people in this world believe that youth can make a change. Fortunately I met with people who believe youth can be agent of change, until I arrived in Nong Jok, Thailand, September 28-30, 2009. SOLIDARITY 21

The number 21 is a power. According to the Chinese Feng Shui, the sum of 21 = 3 which means LIFE, balance and the power of nature. Number 21 can also be looked at as Two and One or To one — towards a common point, a solidarity for the Earth.

The number 21 is also symbolic if the World Silent Day (WSD),  i.e. 21 March, a community campaign to save the earth from climate change.

HEROES OF WORLD SILENT DAY 2009

Sumino from Solo, Central Java, has shown that a simple commitment can create a greater awareness than we think. Like last year we bring to you the stories and heroes of World Silent Day (WSD) in 2009.
