Beyond turning off your electronic appliances and lights for four hours, there are many things you can do to make World Silent Day 2009 an even greater success. Here are just a few to get you started.
- Activities recommended not to be done during World Silent Day.
- Using the car.
- Using motorbike.
- Using electronic appliances: ac, TV, lamps, computers, radio, etc.
- Using cell phone.
- Activities recommended to be done during World Silent Day.
- Tending the garden, planting and tending trees.
- Use bicycle or share cars.
- Read books and discuss about global warming with communities and families.
- Reduce water and use of hot water.
- Create the habit to reduce consumption to prevent impacts of global warming on our earth.
- Change habits to tackle climate change. Behaviour change to tackle climate change begins from the family, workplace and school.
- Sign up and tell a friend. Tell all your friends, and your family, and your workmates. Just email them with a link to this website.
- Put World Silent Day banner at your website or blog.
- Organize World Silent Day in your city or local community. Follow these tips or contact us at: info@worldsilentday.org.
- Be a World Silent Day ambassador. Support World Silent Day 2009 with your talent, profession, service or product.
